I learnt to cook from the cooking master in this restaurant. wHat type of food do you serve? We serve traditional Vietnamese food. It’s really good, tasty food like you would get in Vietnam. wHat is your speciality? Our specialty would be broken rice. It is broken steamed rice with omelette- style eggs which are broken up, and meat and vegetable. It’s not the same as fried rice, because it’s steamed. We usually serve it with a fried pork chop, fried egg and fish sauce on the side. It’s very popular with our customers. wHat is your signature disH? The beef pho we serve is very good here. It’s quite a simple beef noodle soup. It’s very tasty and we make it with our own hand-made rice noodles. We also serve a very appetising spring roll which we receive lots of requests for. wHere do you source your ingredients from? We buy our vegetables from a Chinese ourstrathfield.com.au metHod Bring beef stock to the boil. Add cinnamon, ginger, star anise and coriander seed and boil over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove spices; add fish sauce and lime juice. Prepare rice noodles according to packet and drain. Divide noodles into four bowls and top with beef. Pour soup and top with mint, basil, coriander, bean sprout, chillies and shallots.
